I’m completely redesigning my D&D world in anticipation of D&D 4th Edition, due out in June 2008.
One of the reasons is that I like this idea: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/drdd/20070829a – unfortunately you have to be logged in to read this, but I don’t think it’s too terribly difficult to figure out how to register, etc.
If you’re interested in finding out what some of the differences are with the new edition, check out http://www.enworld.org/index.php?page=4e for lots and lots of scoop.
My idea at this point is to look at an accelerated run through the first few levels, though that could change.
I agree with you, Azor. I’m preparing my world to the 4e too…
Players already know that our actual campaign is the last one on the 3.5e; after that we will make new characters (maybe sons of original characters) and play in another age.
Do you think it’s a good idea?
I like that idea. It gives your players a little thread of continuity to connect them to their past characters. I’m not sure all of my players have the kind of connection to their characters that would make that necessary … some do, but probably some don’t.
burke on the reboot.
